Award Winning Bruny Island Accommodation

 

Situated in Lunawanna, these self contained, self catering cottages sleep up to four people. Each has a private balcony, cosy log fire and complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Ideal for Families, Couples or Groups. All you need are your eats, drinks and then enjoy.

The Explorers Cottages accommodation provides 3½ star comfort and has won awards in the 2007, 2008 & 2009 Tasmanian Tourism Awards.

Rates: $165 per night (2 people)
Extra Guests: $25 per person, per night.
 

Getting There

The cottages are located at 20 Lighthouse Road, Lunawanna which is on South Bruny Island, Tasmania (map).

Bruny Island is accessed by a vehicular ferry which departs from Kettering (30 minutes south of Hobart). The scenic ferry ride takes approximately 15 minutes. From there, follow the main road to the south of Bruny Island (a picturesque 45 minute drive) to the township of Lunawanna. Once at Lunawanna, you will see the signs to "Explorers' Cottages" located on Lighthouse Road, on route to the famous Bruny Island Lighthouse and South Bruny National Park.
